Brooke Wilberger Murder Story : Prosecutors release details of Wilberger's abduction, murder

Tonight’s Dateline NBC called Bringing Brooke Home featured the story of Brooke Wilberger’s murder. Ultimately on the show, Brooke got justice, but it was hard to watch. Kate Snow was reporting.


The killer’s family actually pieced together the information that their family member Joel Courtney was the murderer. It is amazing that Brooke’s family was able to get justice.


Dateline followed the story of the most publicized murder in the history of the State of Oregon. In May 2004, Courtney raped and then murdered 19-year-old Brooke Wilberger. Corvallis was rocked by the girl's disappearance.


Courtney had disappeared during the time of the murder, and when he came back, Courtney told his family an unbelievable story.

Karnataka & Bangalore Band on 22 Jan, 2011 (Today)

BJP, which is ruling in the state of Karnataka has on Friday night called and announced for a Karnataka / Banglore ‘bandh’ on Saturday i.e. 22nd Jan 2010 in retaliation to Karnataka state’s Governor H.R. Bhardwaj providing permission to prosecute Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa over land scandals.


BJP Karnataka state party spokesperson S. Prakash told ‘We will organize Karnataka bandh tomorrow (Saturday),’ said the, within hours of Karnataka state’s Governor H.R. Bhardwaj announcing that he had to sanction filing of criminal cases against Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa.


The karnataka BJP leaders had also announced before that they would arrange rallies all over the state of Karnataka and will even meet President Pratibha Patil and ask her to recall Karnataka state’s Governor H.R. Bhardwaj, as they find him ‘biased’ against CM Yeddyurappa and the BJP government in the Karnataka state.
