US Open 2010 Final match update: Play suspended due to constant rain & extra time for unwrap suspense.

The 2010 US Open Final match between Rafael NadalVs Novak Djokovic, they played at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, on September 12, 2010 but have been delayed until Monday due to constant rain at Flushing Meadows.


The US Open final was rescheduled for Monday at 4.00 pm. Spaniard Nadal has been eyeing his 1st New York Title while 3rd seeded Djokovic will not leave any boulder unturned to bag the title in favor.


The delay will be good news for Djokovic’s hopes of winning a 2ndGrand Slam title next his efforts on Saturday. Djokovic saved 2 match points before beating Roger Federer in 5 sets in their semi-final a match which lasted 3 hours and 44 minutes and took place after Nadal had seen off Mikhail Youzhny in straight sets in 2 hours 13 minutes.


Djokovic said that “I was ready to play in the locker-room but obviously the extra day’s rest is good for me”.


The women’s doubles final was deep in the 3rd set when play was balanced in early afternoon and was originally switched to another court in expect that the weather would progress.


That match with the 6th seeds Vania King and Yaroslava Shvedova serving at 0-15 and 4-5 down in the 3rd set against 2nd seeds Liezel Huber and Nadia Petrova is scheduled to continue at 3pm local time on Monday.
